Formaldehyde (HCHO) Analyzer

Ambient Formaldehyde (HCHO) is a carcinogenic volatile organic compound (VOC). It can be released both indoors and outdoors from household products such as glue, wild fire, plants and fuel combustion. Monitoring of atmospheric Formaldehyde is vital in the aspects of health & safety.

Chromatotec airmo HCHO is designed for measuring formaldehyde in air or pure gases and is specific for low-concentration formaldehyde monitoring. Miniaturization, sensitivity, mobility and flexibility are its main features.

This instrument uses a single sorbent trap metal column and methanator valve. Formaldehyde reacts with the catalyst, increasing the sensitivity of the flame ionziation detector (FID). The oven is programmed with gradient temperature and carrier gas pressure/flow control via Piezo valves. It can be combined with Chromatotec's other gas analyzers to extend the quantitation range of gas molecules.

Chromatotec microF is a compact Formaldehyde analyzer which allows continuous and real-time qualification and quantification of Formaldehyde. Time resolution is down to few seconds and detection limit is lower than 10 ppb.
