Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Analyzer

Chromatotec Solution

Chromatotec offers monitoring of atmospheric VOCs, SVOCs (Semi-volatile Organic Compounds), OVOCs (Oxygenated Volatile Organic Compounds), PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) and PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons), etc.

chroma THC : Total Hydrocarbons (THC)

It is a gas analyzer with Gas Chromatograph (GC) and Flame Ionization Detector (FID) principle for measuring hydrocarbons, including Methane (CH4) and Non Methane Total Hydrocarbon (NMTHC). It complies with ISO 1142-1:1996. As a fully automatic instrument, the chroma THC allows unattended operation and commissioning 24/24.

The injection of samples is made via a loop and a heated valve. The separation between CH4, Ethene (C2H6) as unburned hydrocarbons (UHC) and NMTHC is achieved using a column back flush. No oxygen synergism occurs. A valve regulates carrier gas (hydrogen or Nitrogen or air). The retention time drift is less than 0.3 %. The FID is heated at 150 °C.

airmoVOC C6-C20 : Volatile and Semi Volatile Hydrocarbons

The airmoVOC C6-C20 is used to monitor volatile organic compounds (VOCs) up to the semi volatile hydrocarbons at industrial sites, tropical forests and sites that are under decontamination. When the system is coupled to a mass spectrometer (optional), with detection limit as low as 1 ppt for Benzene or Naphthalene, it is able to measure real-time gaseous polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) up to Fluorene, and linear Alkanes up to N-Hexadecane . The fully automatic and in-field system allows to detect such compounds thanks to internal sampling line and ultra-high sensitivity.

airTOXIC BTX : BTEX and 1,3-Butadiene

It is a gas chromatograph with photoionization detector (GC-PID) for automatic monitoring of Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene & Xylenes (BTEX) and 1,3-Butadiene in air, water and soils. This instrument complies with the latest EN: 14662. It uses a port valve, a single absorbent trap and a 30 meter 0.28mm ID metallic column. It has a minimum detection level of down to 10 ppt for Benzene or 1,3-Butadiene in ambient air.

airmoVOC BTX : Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, (o-,m-,p-) Xylene and Styrene

The airmoVOC BTX is a GC for the analysis and monitoring of trace amounts of Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, (m-/p-/o-) xylene and Styrene by FID detection.

airmoOzone C2-C12 : PAMS Ozone Precursors and Toxic Organic (TO) Compounds

An all-in-one solution including dual combined auto GC-FID: airmoVOC C2-C6 and airmoVOC C6-C12. By combining these two instruments, it is able to analyze both light and heavy VOCs. The airmOzone is a standalone system with hydrogen gas and zero air generators as well as embedded calibration unit integrated in equipment rack.

This system is provided worldwide for ozone precursors monitoring in ambient air. It comes top in US EPA field trials and is considered as unique autonomous and integrated solution for field application. The airmOzone monitors 56 compounds in the US EPA PAMS (Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Stations) list and 88 compounds when TO-14 (Compendium of Methods for the Determination of Toxic Organic Compounds in Ambient Air: Method 14) molecules are added.

The system is in compliance with EN 14 662-3 and the airmoVOC C6-C12 analyzer has mCERTS for EN 15267-1:2009, EN 15267-2:2009 and EN 14662-3:2015. The analyer is linear from 0 to 100 ppb (0-325 µg/m3) in linearity & repeatability test. Using a FID and hydrogen gas as the carrier gas, the separation and sensitivity is excellent down to ppt levels. The system has equipped with a internal calibration unit which is calibrated with primary gas standards certified at ±2%.

The airmoOzone C2-C12 can be equipped with rack-mounted DET QMS (a quadrupole mass spectrometer (MS)). This integrated GC and MS option is powerful for monitoring at least 123 VOC species at ppt level to provide more precise and reliable results..
